Weekly Athletic Events:


Basketball: The Indians and Lady Indians will play at Caledonia Tuesday, January 15 and Shannon at home Friday, January 18.  Complete Schedule


Bowling:  The Indians and Lady Indians will play at home against Tremont Wednesday, January 16 at 3:30.  Complete Schedule


Soccer:  The Indians and Lady Indians will play at New Albany Tuesday, January 15 and at home against Amory Friday, January 18.  Complete Schedule


Make plans to come out and support the players and coaches.

Blood Drive is Thursday, January 24.  Sign up days will be Friday, January 18 for seniors and Tuesday, January 22 for everyone else.  Sign up will be during break and lunch in the Commons.


The deadline to buy a yearbook is Thursday, January 31.  They may be purchased in the libray or at .

The Mississippi State Board of Education (SBE) is seeking applications from high school students who wish to serve as student representatives to the State Board starting in the 2019-20 school year. The SBE invites applications from public school students who will be high school juniors or seniors in 2019-20. Students who wish to apply to serve as a SBE representative must complete the application posted on the MDE website: Completed applications are due on Feb. 11, 2019.

The Mississippi Secretary of State's Office hopes to partner with your school to provide an enhanced opportunity for students to learn about electrions and civic responsibilities.  Our office, through the Promote The Vote program, is hosting an art contest for all students (K-12) and an essay contest for students in grades 6-12.  Every student in your school may participate.  Top winners from each age category will receive formal recognition at the State Capitol in February 2019.  Additionally, the Mock Election will take place in October, allowing students to cast their votes for candidates in two United States Senate races and one race for United States Representative.  Simply click this link to register: .

Blue Mountain College has 5 scholarships for athletes to work in their athletic department for 2019-2020 (game day experience, video production, marketing, etc).  Contact Will Lowery at Blue Mountain if interested at or 662.685.4771 x401.

Mississippi Governor’s School – June 2-15, 2019 at MUW.  Must be a rising high school junior or senior to apply.  Must be in top 10% of class or 25 or above on ACT.  Visit for more details and application.

JUNIORS or SENIORS:  MUW Navigating Nursing Days – February 28, 2019.  Must have a minimum ACT of 21 and a minimum GPA of 3.0.  See Mrs. Collier if interested.
